Upkeeping your image

I was thinking how important an image can be. Afterall, an image can be defined as a virtual (and temporary) reflection of oneself when perceived by others. Who bothers to maintain their image at all times? How many people bend and sway with the opinions of people?

Harrods is undergoing a renovation. Renovations can be pretty messy and sometimes, unsightly. It's just a phase whereby one undergoes some re-shuffling to portray a NICER image as the result. But Harrods bother to ensure that it looks as gorgeous as it can even as it undergoes renovation.

How many of us goes out on the street - unshaven, uncombed and sloppily dressed?
